Resettle addresses a persistent macOS limitation: when display configurations change—by docking, undocking, or changing monitor connections—macOS does not restore windows to their previous positions on that specific setup. Resettle tracks window arrangements per display configuration and restores them automatically.
The app learns desk setups without requiring manual profile creation. When a familiar configuration is reconnected, Resettle detects it and restores the corresponding window layout. Multiple displays are supported; identical monitor models are distinguished by serial number or position to prevent misidentification.
Full-screen window states are preserved and restored to the appropriate display. An undo option reverts the most recent restoration if needed. The app optionally reopens applications associated with each desk configuration. Layouts are stored locally with no cloud dependency.
