AlwaysOnTop keeps any window floating above all other windows on macOS. The app pins browser windows, video players, PDF documents, images, and notes to remain visible while working in other applications.

The application supports multiple simultaneous floating windows. Browser windows stay accessible for documentation and references without switching applications. Video players continue displaying content during other work. PDF documents remain visible for reading alongside text editors or design tools. The built-in scratchpad provides a persistent floating note area for quick capture without launching separate note-taking applications.

Additional features include webcam integration for video calls and recordings, image pinning for design mockups and screenshots, and desktop pets (cats, dogs, pandas) that float on the desktop. Each floating window maintains its position across workspace switches and fullscreen applications.

The app runs natively on both Apple Silicon and Intel Macs with minimal resource usage. Built with Swift, it integrates with the macOS window management system without interfering with other applications or consuming excessive memory. The menu bar icon provides quick access to pinned windows and application controls.

AlwaysOnTop requires macOS 12 (Monterey) or later. The app is available for a one-time purchase of $9.99 (regularly $14.99) with lifetime updates included. A 7-day refund guarantee is offered.

The app provides no keyboard shortcut customization beyond system-level accessibility controls. Users requiring specific window opacity controls or click-through functionality may need to supplement with additional window management utilities. The floating windows system cannot pin Safari tabs independently—entire browser windows must be floated rather than individual tabs.
